Hi Jennifer,
Master of Malt has their "Drinks by the dram" program: http://www.masterofmalt.com/samples/.

Are you definitely looking for small samples (which are relatively expensive on a per-ounce basis), or would something like a gift pack with 200ml bottles appeal to you? The Whisky Exchange has miniatures, as well as other types of gift packs like this one:
http://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/P-7627.aspx

If you're in the U.S., you might want to go to your local specialty shop to see if they have any gift packs for the Holiday season. I know Total Wine & More has some gift pack options right now.

Cheers,
Jeff

That's a good point. I was going to say something about that...

I'd love to have the samples be a full 50ml like a standard miniature. I can turn the 50ml into two 25ml tastes over a couple of days, which gives me a better feel for the drink.

I do find the 30ml to be plenty for a single dram. Especially for a cask-strength malt. Maybe the thinking is that if you want to stretch it into two samples like I do with the 50ml miniatures, then you should buy two.

I can also see where they're coming from in terms of having a limited number of samples available of these rare bottles. The nice thing about 30ml samples is that more of us can try something we might not otherwise ever experience.
